The crop that is... even though I only stayed 7 hours I had fun. I got to chat, a lot, with everyone, got to see Miss Pat and my daughter, got to shop and I even got to do some scrapping.
I finished up Heidi's swap and actually made a scrapbook page before I went home and crashed for the evening.
Unfortunately there are no pics. I was going to have some kind soul take some of my daughter and I but she left early because her back was hurting.
Today hubby and I went for a long bike ride, had breakfast on the square in Woodstock and during showers cleaned out closets and drawers. Depending on the rain schedule the next few days I will be outside in the garden if it's not raining and doing some scrapping if it is.

Haven't posted in a while

I was working on a new creation... me! I had gastric bypass surgery on March 18, 2008. So far I've lost 38 pounds and have been riding my bicycle or walking, or both every day. Twice a week I go to Healthbridge to work out. My bariatric program included a free two month membership plus eight sessions with a personal trainer and I've been taking advantage of it.
I've also been doing a lot of gardening. I have four flower beds plus a vegetable garden.
All is not lost however. I've been working on some swaps and a challenge.
The challenge to was to take a Starbucks Frappachino carton and bottles and alter them. All the paper and cardstock is from Close to My Heart. The stamps are my new obsession... Bella stamps. This one is BikerBella.

Card Candy

I'm no longer in the Survivor Game. I knew I was going to be having surgery when I joined the game. It was fun doing the challenges and because of that I actually got pages done outside of crops.
Right now I've been working on a Card Candy swap. You make five or six embellishments of your own in a theme, in this case the theme is winter. You attach them to acrylic with foam glue dots so they can be easily removed to placed wherever you want them, cards, scrapbook pages, etc.
The snowman, which did not scan well, was made with my Quickutz. Everything thing else was stamped.

Taking a break
Just to let people know. I'm taking a break until after my surgery on Tuesday, October 2.
I haven't been idle. I made four pages for a Christmas page swap. Three pages for an "All about me" Survivor challenge. I was at a crop at our local scrapbook store last Friday. :)

Where did it go?

This is my second post for today. The first one I typed up, attached a pic then hit "publish", went to view my blog and... and... ? Where did it go? Apparently it's floating about some place in the internet. Perhaps Neo knows where it is cuz I don't. Maybe it will pop up later. Hopefully.
It was amazingly clever too, a prize winning bit of prose. Too bad you can't all read it. ;)
So here are a couple of pictures from the Scrapbook Expo. This is taken from the entrance where we all stood salivating, waiting for the official start time. There were four long rows of this stuff... and rows bisecting those rows... and stuff lining the walls, it was terrific.
It's Monday

I finally put away the purchases from last Fridays Scrapbook Expo. Well... almost... I put a lot of paper in my crop tote for lack of room. At least it's off of my desk chair. It had to be as I needed to get to work and make more pages.
Of course I'm an absolute pig when it comes to scrapping. Everything gets piled on my desk and eventually things disappear and randomly surface again. I waste more time trying to find stuff that has submerged under other things.
I did a fall page of Jacob helping grandpa paint. I used some leaf stamps and diecut photo corners and a small tag. For the costume page I stamped lil bats and diecut a pumpkin that I
added the face to in ink.
