Fashion Challenge

Heidi issued a challenge to the Yahoo Group. Design a page based on an article of clothing, photo, some design, ect., and submit it.

I based my design on my sweater. All the flowers and leaves are made with the Quickutz Revolution and the paisley was with the regular Quickutz.

Where did it go?

This is my second post for today. The first one I typed up, attached a pic then hit "publish", went to view my blog and... and... ? Where did it go? Apparently it's floating about some place in the internet. Perhaps Neo knows where it is cuz I don't. Maybe it will pop up later. Hopefully.

It was amazingly clever too, a prize winning bit of prose. Too bad you can't all read it. ;)

So here are a couple of pictures from the Scrapbook Expo. This is taken from the entrance where we all stood salivating, waiting for the official start time. There were four long rows of this stuff... and rows bisecting those rows... and stuff lining the walls, it was terrific.

It's Monday

I finally put away the purchases from last Fridays Scrapbook Expo. Well... almost... I put a lot of paper in my crop tote for lack of room. At least it's off of my desk chair. It had to be as I needed to get to work and make more pages.

Of course I'm an absolute pig when it comes to scrapping. Everything gets piled on my desk and eventually things disappear and randomly surface again. I waste more time trying to find stuff that has submerged under other things.

I did a fall page of Jacob helping grandpa paint. I used some leaf stamps and diecut photo corners and a small tag. For the costume page I stamped lil bats and diecut a pumpkin that I

added the face to in ink.

Thank goodness it's Wednesday

I don't have to be back at work until Tuesday. Then three days of work and four off. :)

Still working on fall scrapbook pages for Jacob's book.

Chrissy and I are going to the Scrapbook Expo in St. Charles on Friday. We're spending Thursday night at the host hotel, Pheasant Run. Hubby can watch whatever he wants on TV Thursday night. ;)
The page on the left has Quickutz pumpkins and gourds, for the one on the right I stamped corn shocks and cut them out.

Another couple of pages done today

I did some more for Jacob's book. I'm enjoying all the bright colors and using my die cut machine and the stamps.

I really love autumn.

Another page for Jacobs book

I *am* having fun with the diecut machine. I made a cute little barn and another tag. Got the title page done for the Fall Festival pages.

Survivor Challenge 2

The second challenge requires the use of diecuts, stamps or punches. You can embellish with other stuff but you have to use at least two of the above on each page.

I'm making an 8 1/2 x 11 inch scrapbook for Jacob. This is the first page.

I have a regular Quickutz system and the Revolution. I diecut the letters and the crayons.

Oh Baby!

Coming down to the wire and I told Heidi I wasn't going to but I did, I did another bling page.

You do see the bling don't cha?

What a mess

So what does my craft table look like in the midst of creation? Well, for one it isn't too neat even when I'm not making something but in the flurry of cutting, punching, gluing, ect well... it ain't pretty.

I thought I'd do two things at once... make a Survivor bling and finish a card swap. This is for the non-traditional holiday card swap which could not use the colors red, green, pine or cranberry.

I have silver punched stars, silver snowflake stickers, the itty bitty word was a sticker and that was a b*tch to get down and... there's ghost snowflake images in Brilliance silver.

Monday's bling

This is the quickest layout I've done. Unfortunately my hands shook when I took the picture and while I've tried my best to remedy the photo it's blurry.

The pics are of the Woodstock Square in the spring. I love the square, I met my husband on the square. :)

I have bling in the center of the flowers and on the tag. I got to play with my BoBunny curvy ruler that you can bend into any shape.

Friday August 10

This is the third time I've tried to post this. I had to clear out my internet files first.

Anyway, last Friday was Archivers "Make and Take" weekend. I decided to do the scrapbook page. I liked the huge acrylic stamps and bought a sheet and the special stamper to go along with it. Naturally they were pushing that on that weekend. I added my own bling at home.

The picture is of Chrissy and I, 1978, at Sherman hospital in Elgin, at feeding time. It's an old Polaroid print.

Another page for the challenge

I orginally made the page last Friday during Archivers "Make and Take" weekend. I enjoyed using the huge acrylic swirl stamps and bought a sheet and the special stamper for them. When I got home I added some bling.

Second bike page

This one shows off my current bike, which is still a work in progress. Definitely a ladies bike, as you can see.

Page has Bazzil Bling cardstock for the photo mats and assorted jewels.

Another day another survivor bling page

This one has Bazzil bling cardstock. I used it to mat the photos and make the purple tag. I attached a little gold motorcycle charm and some sparkly little flowers. The rest of the decorations are rub-ons.

More Survivor Bling

I finished two more pages from Daytona Bike Week. I was trying to capture the glitter and lights of night on Main Street. It looks far better in person.

Another Survivor Challenge

For this challenge we have to use bling. Translation: Anything sparkly, shiney, glittery, ect. And we have to have a least three blings on a page. Pages all due in by August 15.

Since last night, August 4, was a crop night I was able to complete five pages. An assortment that covered my school pics, prom, scrapbook crops and a motorcycle page.
